The end of the year is around the corner, I am nervous about graduation. It is a bittersweet feeling knowing it’s my final year year in high school and there is no coming back. I am okay with that because I know I will move on to bigger and better things. It is actually such an eye opener knowing that I no longer will be attending Lindsay High school. Now that high school is coming to an end, I realize that I will never play sports again, the decision of working took away my privilege to play my junior and senior year not being able to experience a senior night.
I have applied to College of the Sequoias and am planning on attending for two years. I plan on graduating College of the Sequoias by two years majoring in cosmetology. If in the future College of the Sequoias does not work out for me I plan on attending UTI in Sacramento to major in becoming a mechanic. People as how do you go from cosmetology to mechanic? Well since a very young age the way me and my father will bond was by me helping him work on the cars we had in the moment. As time passed I learned to love cars as much as working on them. Now that I know about cars I don’t have to go to a mechanic and pay for what I like to do. Cosmetology is something I like as well because I have always enjoyed looking at people do makeup and hair although I don’t wear any makeup I still enjoy applying it on other people. I have a girly side to me but I also have a tomboy side to me.
I believe I am ready for the real world since I have been supporting myself financially since I was sixteen. Since the day I got a job I have not managed to ask my mother for any money. I purchased my own car at the age of seventeen almost eighteen, my car came out to a total of 27,500. As well as having a car payment I have an insurance payment, phone bill, expencenses for my dog and myself. I still manage to give my mom money to help out at home when I have no need in doing so. Although my mother has never been there for me in any way, I am mature enough to help her financially. I am the youngest female out of four but still have a little brother and to me he is like my son. I am raising him and teaching him from what I have learned from everyone else's mistakes at home. I am currently in the process of moving out and renting my own place with a family friend of mine, because of how hard it is to be at home. I know all my hard work at the end will be worth it.
