It's finally here, what we've all been waiting for... senior year. From coming in as a freshman being afraid to show up on the first day not wanting to be the lower class men the one that everyone messed with to becoming an upperclassmen and now having the lower class men looking up to me, coming to me for help. From everything having a first time to now reaching the end and having our last of everything, the last first day of high school, last first game of any sport, last homecoming, last bell game, and our last prom it's a bittersweet feeling. It's exciting to think that this upcoming June I will be graduating and finally be off on my own in the real world. Great memories are to be made this year, to make my last year a great year.
As of now I am on pace and doing my best to stay like that. Having school and work after school gives me no time for homework, which makes it harder for me to finish my work on time but I always strive for success and finish my work. For my senior project I am working on my journal. I finished my job shadow last year, it was a great experience. Something interesting about my senior project is the journals and something exciting was my job shadow. It's great to be able to observe people do their job and be able to get knowledge about that field. I currently am undecided of what I want to become and major in but my mind is set on working and attending college.
What I am looking forward to senior year is all the fun events, and by having leadership I am setting up those events to be the best ones yet. We've already had our senior sunrise. It was a nice feeling being able to get our class together and waiting for the sun to rise. As the sun was rising we were taking pictures together as a class and with all our friends. After watching the sun rise and taking pictures we left to get some breakfast together, it was a good time. So this year I won't be able to play any sports due to my job not wanting to work with my schedule, I hate the fact that I won't be able to play sports my senior year since it's my last chance to, and it's what I enjoy doing but responsibilities come first, in the long run it will all be worth it. My freshmen year I played soccer for the varsity team, it's a great feeling to have to know I am a Valley champion, and to be the last one standing on this campus today for the girls soccer team. I also played softball my freshmen year, we were titled league champions. Then my sophomore year I played volleyball, as well as softball. I was asked to play for the softball varsity team but was not promised much playing time so I made the decision to stay on JV. My junior year I only played volleyball. Reason to only playing volleyball my junior year was because I got the job I am currently at now. Sports used to be what kept me busy, now it's work but I still manage to come around finish what I must accomplish. This year isn't going to be easy but it will be done, I will finish all my work and graduate.
